WFOhio to become standalone charity

The Women’s Foundation of Ohio is to be separated from CoNimby Foundation and become a standalone charity. This separation will enable the WFOhio to capitalize mission priorities, maximize program growth, and set itself up in a position to evolve further as a nationwide organization.

“Following a comprehensive review by CoNimby Foundation Board of Directors, it was clear that the WFOhio business model and constituents needed a more tailored structure to carry out its mission,” said Robert Farris, CoNimby Foundation Board Chairman. “Recognizing that, CoNimby Foundation appointed Yataiva Harris as Chairwoman of the WFOhio. Having been a member of CoNimby Foundation’s Board of Directors’ over the past 10 years, Ms. Harris was the clear choice to become the WFOhio Chair.”

The WFOhio will be managed by the CoNimby Cooperative, and program development will be handled by CoNimby LLP. This will allow the WFOhio to have a lean staff that’ll also benefit from being worker-owners of CoNimby Cooperative by becoming apart of the worker cooperative portfolio. Even though the WFOhio is an Ohio statewide charity it will work to advance equitable opportunities for women nationwide through its diverse program portfolio.
