We are excited to have an open discussion on the benefits of 529 college savings plans.
This event is for parents of elementary students who meet the federal guidelines.
Dr. Robert Farris, Ed.D., will give a detailed presentation on what the benefits of 529 college savings plans are and the impact they can have on the community. His talk will cover:
- What is a 529 college savings plan? Positives and negatives
- 529 college saving plan history: Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code
- What is postsecondary education? College, vocational, trade school
- How access to postsecondary education can transform a community
The Ohio Education Foundation mission is to advance equitable educational opportunities by funding 529 college savings plans for qualified students at no cost to their parents or guardians. Please see guidelines to see if you qualify.
Pizza and pop will be served. Max occupancy is 35 people! Must be registered to attend.
